Deke Slayton's 1953 Edwards Flight Test Manual + Notes
An early Performance Flight Testing training manual from the USAF Experimental Flight Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB dated August 1953 with 232 pages of training materials. This training manual belonged to future Mercury 7 astronaut Deke Slayton, and in fact he has written his name in pencil on the top margin of the front cover "Capt. Slayton". Inside are also eight lined pages of pencil notes taken by Slayton during the course (6 sheets with 2 sheets written on both sides for a total of 8) with at least five of them for sure being in Slayton's hand and the other three very probably being written by Slayton as well.
