Richard Gordon's Life Space Tour Hardhat + Book
Richard Gordon's hardhat used while he was hosting the LIFE Executive Space Tour in late 1964. The Superglas hardhat contains its internal head band plus a LIFE decal as well as Gordon's name on the front. This lot also includes a humorous booklet commemorating the tour with about 25 captioned photographs. Other astronauts appearing in the photographs that were part of the tour were Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton.

Gemini Familiarization Manual - Astronaut Office Copy
An early Project Gemini Familiarization Manual from McDonnell and dated 15 March 1964 (revised 31 Dec 1964), SEDR 300. This is the Astronaut Office copy of a manned Gemini manual that contains over 300 pages in 12 tabbed sections covering all aspects of the Gemini spacecraft with charts, foldouts, illustrations and information. Sections include Spacecraft Mission, Major Structural Assemblies, Cabin Arrangement, Sequence System, Electrical Power System, Environmental Control System, Cooling System, Guidance and Control System, Communications System, Instrumentation System, Pyrotechnics and Rocket System and Landing System. The tabs are worn from constant use, but the manual still looks to be in nice overall condition. Uncommon.

An original Gemini Program Launch Systems Final Report dated January 1967 and prepared by the Aerospace Corporation. It probably has close to 1000 pages of foldouts, photos, charts, illustrations, graphs and information dealing with the Gemini-Titan Target Vehicle, Gemini-Agena Launch Vehicle and the Atlas /SLV-3. Nice condition and rare.

Gemini RCS/Cooling Valves Spacecraft Panel
A 3-1/4"x 4" lightweight metal panel removed from the Gemini Mission Simulator after training was completed. The simulator used the exact same panels as did the actual spacecraft. The position of this panel in the spacecraft is shown in color on a Gemini controls layout drawing - in an overhead position. Heavily used in training by certainly most the early Gemini astronauts, it does show a bit of wear from that fact. Gemini artifacts such as this are quite rare.
